For the first time since 2014, I find myself without a job. The circumstances at work lent itself to my leaving a company that I truly loved; it just wasn’t working out for me and my family. The parting was amicable though and it’s my understanding that should things get better (it wasn’t directly related to the coronavirus, but it didn’t help things either) the door would be open for my return.
But for right now, I’m enjoying this time being at home with my two kids and my husband. David has a quite successful YouTube channel, so I’m glad that I can now be home so that he can pay more attention to that. (Check out DavidPoz if you want to learn about DIY solar and battery projects!)
I’m really hoping that I can dust off this ol’ blog again and actually put out some useful content. I got some requests (via my Facebook page) for easy recipes, tips on raising two kids (I don’t know if I really have any “tips” but just enjoy sharing our experience and showing solidarity!), and highlighting how David and I were able to secure ourselves, financially, so that I could take this time off from work. Anything else you would like to see from this site?
I also want to take this time to revisit something that I had posted about earlier this month: Given that, at the time, I was working from home and wasn’t sure when I’d be going back to work, I took on a side job. And now that I’m not working at all, this little side job has turned into something a little bit more. I have become a Beautycounter consultant. Now, I know, you’re reading that and thinking, “oh gosh another MLM” and “what is she going to try and sell me”? I’m here to share products that I love, first and foremost. I’m not the type of person who jumps on any bandwagon to sell you something. I absolutely believe in these products, and if you’re interested enough to buy, by using my direct link, I do receive a commission. But again, I would NEVER insist that you buy something if it’s not right for you. I’ve been using the products for almost a year now and my skin has dramatically improved. I even use their lotion and hair products. I also share my favorites over on my Instagram (@madewithblissblog) if you’d like to see what I use on a day to day basis. (I plan on dedicating an entire post to this new venture, including what products I use and how you can join in!)
Aside from thinking of ideas for blog posts, I’m also making sure to go out and enjoy time with my family. We’ve been going on daily walks and even went on our first hike as a family of 4 yesterday.
At this moment in time, that up there is my happy place.
So that’s the latest and greatest from here. I just want to say THANK YOU to those who have subscribed and who have followed me along on this journey. The connections I make are the reason I’ve enjoyed doing this for so long (since 2010!).
Have a wonderful weekend!!
Good for you! Hope you have great success. You’re so positive and upbeat. You’ll do fine.
