Virtual Races of 2020

Since I started running, in 2007, I’ve made it a goal to run a race every year. I ran two races after I had Eleanor in 2017 and even ran a 5 miler when 13 weeks pregnant with Lincoln.

This year, I didn’t want to break that streak, and thankfully so many race organizers in my area had virtual races to participate in. Some were free, with a suggested donation, and others you could still get swag and even a medal. And despite the races being on your own, on your schedule, I still felt that sense of community. November – Whitin Five Miler (5K option this year!)

The races in June and November were done around the town I live in. It’s a great little route that includes hills and it passes by a Dunks! Laughing out loud The latest one was at a rail trail near my parents house. There was still some slush and ice on the ground (and a downed tree) but we made it!

Have you participated in any virtual races this year?
