For over a year now, my skin has never looked or felt better. By adding these products to my routine (along with others that I use on a day to day basis), I finally feel confident, even going so far as being able to out in public without any makeup. That’s a lot for me!

Brighten up with this game-changing serum. As mentioned in past posts, my skin care routine was very basic and I used the same products for the past 9 years or so (the aloe line from The Body Shop). So when I started incorporating Beautycounter products, I didn’t know what I needed and what I was really looking to get out of using the products (aside from getting rid of blemishes and redness…more on that below!) So when they released the All Bright C Serum, I thought, “why not add something in that will give me a little glow?”. And boy has it added the glow. I use this daily, in the morning, right after I cleanse and before I moisturize, and I only need a drop about half the size of a dime. It smells great and it has truly helped to balance everything out and give my face a little…life, without even needing makeup.
Counter+ Lotus Glow Cleaning Balm
This multi-tasking cleansing balm, perfect for day and night use, hydrates while it cleanses, removing makeup and impurities with nourishing ingredients that won’t strip away your skin’s natural moisture. (Bonus: it can also be used as a mask for a hydrating overnight facial.) With a blend of lotus extract, jojoba seed oil, and avocado seed oil, Lotus Glow Cleansing Balm soothes and destresses skin while increasing luminosity.
Every time I use this, I feel like I’m giving myself a little facial. I use it about every 3 days, at night. It’s on the pricier end ($79) but it really lasts a long time. All that’s needed is a small almond sized amount that you blend into skin that’s completely clean and dry. To remove, you use a damp washcloth to gently wipe it away and then finish with a quick rinse of warm water. It can also be used as an overnight mask, although I haven’t tried that myself. Typically on the night that I use this, I finish with the No. 3 Balancing Facial Oil. The combination really helps with any residual redness that I have on my chin. The results take time but everything really does wonders.
One-Step Makeup Remover Wipes – DISCONTINUED
Remove makeup and cleanse your skin in one step. Using a naturally derived micellar formula, each super soft wipe traps makeup, dirt, and impurities, then gently whisks it away with no need to rinse. Aloe Vera delivers hydration, while cornflower water soothes delicate skin. Gentle enough to use on face and eyes every day. Oil-free. No added fragrance.
Oh yes, these are so good that I had to include them in my list of favorite products. I can absolutely see why these tend to sell out pretty quickly. There are some nights when I am just too tired to go through my normal cleansing routine and these really come through in a pinch. They are cooling, refreshing, and remove any and all traces of makeup (especially mascara, which apparently I look like a raccoon when I try to take it off with water, ha!). I also took these on my hiking trip a month ago and they were the best at getting rid of the sweat and dirt on my face after climbing mountains in hot and humid weather. And they’re a steal at only $20!
Counter+ Overnight Resurfacing Peel
Goodnight, dullness. Good morning, glow. Featuring a proprietary multi-acid complex, this leave-on AHA/BHA peel improves skin texture and boosts clarity without irritation or over-drying. With glycolic, malic, and botanically derived lactic acid, the formula clears away dull surface cells, while arginine and essential fatty acids help soothe to reveal a brighter, healthier looking, renewed complexion.
And this list would not be complete without talking about the product that changed my life (I know that sounds super dramatic, but that’s how it feels). When I first started using the products last August (2019), this was the one that I just had to have, given all of the great reviews. After using it for a few weeks, my blemishes were completely gone. All around my hair line and my t-zone, my face just cleared up. I was amazed at how well this worked. I seriously think that everyone should try this product. It lasts a long time too; the recommended usage is every 3-4 days, at night, along with a cleanser and moisturizer.
