My Skin Care Routine

This post is not sponsored by The Body Shop. I just love the products so much and wanted to share them.

As I was thinking about sharing this information, it dawned on me that I posted this almost 7 years ago on my Jogging Concierge blog! I guess it shows that the products have really been working and I haven’t deterred from them since. Below is the text from that post:

Yesterday I was talking to my colleague about the store The Body Shop and I was raving about their Aloe face line. (The Body Shop did not contact me to give a product review; I just love these products so much I had to share it!) I have probably the most sensitive skin ever and I used to have the worst acne. It was dry in the winter and oily in the summer. I was on doctor-prescribed pills and face creams and it was never able to clear up my redness or breakouts. I even went on ProActiv but they instruct people to use it twice a day and it was way too abrasive for my face. I felt like it was burning my skin off (seriously). I tried Acne Free from the drugstore, Neutrogena, St. Ives, Clean & Clear; none of it seemed to work. It always irritated my face.

So then I was on the hunt for something that was made for sensitive skin. I don’t know what prompted me, but I ended up at The Body Shop. I saw they had a line of Aloe Products that included a cleansing foam, toner, exfoliater, and day cream. I scooped everything I could and even signed up for their membership card so I could continue to accumulate points and receive free products.

The products made a difference immediately. My red spots disappeared and I only get random pimples here or there but never to the extent that I used to. I can confidently walk around without makeup which was very rare for me. So if you have sensitive skin I would definitely recommend The Body Shop!!

Below are the products that I use daily.

In the morning, I use the Calming Foaming Wash while in the shower. When I’m getting my face ready (before I apply make-up), I use a cotton pad to wipe the Calming Toner on my face. Then I finish off with the Soothing Day Cream. At night, I wash off the make-up and apply the Soothing Night Cream. It’s a little bit thicker than the day cream, and it makes my skin feel soft and nourished.

And this is my face today! Very little redness and virtually no pimples. I don’t know if genes play in to things but I think these items have certainly helped in making sure my skin stays healthy and taken care of. 🙂 Don’t mind the chipped front tooth; I have to figure out if I can afford to get that fixed!

And right now The Body Shop online is offering 40% off hundreds of items, and these items are included! The discount is online only and still going on as of the writing of this post (Sunday, February 25th). Time for me to stock up!!
