Christmas 2020

Despite not being able to see all of the family members that I would usually see (I’m looking at you, Maine! <3), Christmas this year was still a special one. We went to my parents house for the night and Eleanor had such a wonderful time (Lincoln still isn’t quite sure what’s going on, but he had a great time climbing up and down their stairs). We made gingerbread cookies for Santa, and after the kids went to bed, my parents and I enjoyed a delicious hot chocolate (with a little Canadian Club whiskey in memory of my grandpapa)…and some boozy egg nog. Rolling on the floor laughing

For Christmas Eve dinner, we had a delicious roast with mashed potatoes and green beans. And for Christmas morning, we enjoyed waffles, sausage/bacon, fruit and mimosas.

And what did Santa bring for our family? A beautiful sled! Too bad the mild weather and rain on Christmas took away all of the snow, but we’re crossing our fingers we’ll be able to use it sooner rather than later. I received some gift cards to Stitch Fix, Amazon and Dunks; David received an awesome table saw and some branded t-shirts for his YouTube videos; the kids received clothes and some fun toys to enjoy. It was the perfect morning and it was so cute watching Eleanor get so excited to see what Santa brought.

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday; we’re almost to the end, and I’m looking forward to the brighter days of 2021!
