Memorial Day 2024, my parents, friend and I ran the Run to Remember in Boston. This year I’m not running as many races so I wanted to really make this one count.
The weather over the weekend was beautiful, sunny, and warm. The city was buzzing! We checked into the Seaport Hotel on Sunday night and enjoyed the pool, the restaurant, and the view from the room.

The weather for the race? Foggy and drizzly. Although it wasn’t the best weather to be standing around in, it was perfect for running!

My plan was to keep my pace doable but challenging to start and to have some gas left in the tank at the end. I was in the low 9s to start and in the middle there was an almost 10 (slight hill). But my last mile was my fastest! Woo!
The race is marked as being 5.2 miles, but they list the time as if it was 5 miles. So I was actually faster than the official time. In fact, my Garmin had it at a 9:19 pace which would be a 5 mile post kid PR!

And I wasn’t even that sore afterwards. Another great race in the books!
Next up: the AutoFair 10 miler in New Hampshire in August.
