Even though I’m not a concierge anymore, I still get the chance to attend their events since my role does overlap with guest services. And who am I kidding, this is a tough group to get away from! 🙂
Our stops on the stroll of the South End neighborhood were:
La Motta – Italian restaurant (Washington Street)
L’Attitude – Art gallery (Harrison Avenue)
Liquid Art House – Art gallery/restaurant (Arlington Street)
The concept of a restaurant with changing chefs and art is one of a kind in the US. They change every 2-3 months and feature renowned artists as well as local ones. The chandelier above is $80,000!
Ore Jewelry – Jewelry shop (Dartmouth Street)
Formaggio – Specialty Shop (Shawmut Avenue)
I absolutely loved this store! The combination of cheese and wine is arguably the best and I look forward to frequenting this establishment more and more this summer.
Stephie’s on Tremont – American restaurant (Tremont Street)
To end the stroll (for me at least) we were treated to Korean style bbq ribs, scallops on polenta, and red pepper hummus with assorted bread and veggies. Everything was delicious and ended the night on a high note.
The neighborhood strolls are always my favorite of the concierge events. It allows you to check out new and established restaurants/shops within the neighborhood, as well as expand your contacts in case a guest has a certain request or need.
What’s your favorite city neighborhood??
