May 21st

A runner is definitely a strong person. I might not be physically strong but over the years, I've definitely gotten stronger mentally. Maybe I can attempt another marathon...

Don't run away from challenges. Run over them! I like to think that I take on challenges nowadays. Just the fact that I've run a marathon and 7 halves should show that. 😄

The ultimate goal of running is not to be fast, but to be happy. This, this, this! I sometimes can't get out of my own head and think that I have to go fast in order to be a runner. But when I throw that expectation out the window, rubbing does become more fun. 😄

To keep healthy, to exercise everyday. Go run. Well I definitely don't run everyday, but I try and balance between running, walking and strength training. I think I've found the sweet spot: 3 runs, 2 full body workouts and rests/walks between. 😄

Running builds your character resilient. I definitely think I've become more resilient and have overcome any doubts I've had about myself. I continue to persevere.

Be slow and steady to win the race. Ok, Aesop. 🤣 I think I still have a hard time with that concept because I always go out too fast! I need to learn to pace myself, even after all these years.
