March 7th

Run like hell and get the agony over with.

I can’t recall too many races where I just felt like I was dying at the end, but there are some that stick out.

1) The AutoFair 10 Miler in NH. Holy hills! The t-shirt even says “Give ‘em HILL”. Thankfully I didn’t have any grand time that I was hoping to hit and while I was dying a bit in the middle, I was able to finish strong.

2) 2011 Run to Remember half marathon. This was such a hot and humid race. There were people falling to the side for aid but thankfully I was able to finish without falling over. And with a 3 second PR! Haha.

3) The Run/Walk/Crawl 5K in 2010. I tried to get to the start in time to use the bathroom, but because of how small the race is, they started it about 5 minutes before the listed time. So I was running the first mile with a full bladder, haha. That was my fastest mile at 7:55! I think by the end, I sweat it out.

4) My one and only marathon: The Maine Marathon in 2010. I was hurting from miles 17-24 but I finished! And with David by my side. Smile
